An assessment begins with the player’s human capital held apart from what the market says he costs — then adjusted for the club he would be joining. That adjustment is the whole proposition. A squad, a wage structure, a competitive level and a way of working are not neutral ground; they change what a person is worth once he is standing in them.

From the same computation come two readings: the sporting one, for the club, and the financial one, for whoever is funding it. Beneath both sits the differential between destination and origin across six axes, weighted for the player’s archetype.

All of it is set against the economic figures the club itself supplies, and those figures are already public.

THE CLUB IS ALSO MADE OF PEOPLE,
AND TWENTY YEARS IS NOT A SEASON

Two differences are structural rather than cosmetic.

The first is that Aestima measures the human capital of the club — its people, its structure, its way of holding on to them — and not only the human capital of the player. Performance-data providers do not measure it. It happens to be THELAYMA’s trade.

The second is time. Aestima reads sporting and financial results across twenty years, where the sector reads seasons. A club’s environment is not a form; it is a habit, and habits take two decades to show themselves.

Aestima never says whether to sign a player. It puts no figure on a fee, takes no negotiating position, and puts nobody in contact with anybody. It holds no sporting mandate, and it never will.

What it returns is a measurement placed on a reference scale that is published with it — what the values indicate, and nothing beyond. That is the position of a laboratory, not of an adviser. The distinction is deliberate, and it is the reason a sporting director can put the document in front of a board without it becoming an argument.

Nothing leaves signed by a model. Every assessment carries a named signatory and a documented human review — which is also why the number that can be signed in any given window is small, and why we say so before the question is asked.

THE CLUB DEFINES THE PERIMETER
AND BRINGS THE FIGURES

The club names the clubs to be assessed. The club supplies the sums involved, the salary and the bonuses — all of them matters of public record before we ever see them. We identify nobody, estimate nothing, and reconstruct no remuneration.

The fee is fixed in the engagement letter before any work begins, and it is never linked to an outcome. Where a deadline is short, the deadline and its fee are written into that same letter rather than discovered afterwards.

There are two forms, and only two. A single engagement, over a perimeter you define. Or a three-year contract, paid annually in advance, non-exclusive on both sides, which reserves capacity rather than a quantity of reports.

There is no subscription. There is no report counter. Neither is coming.
